IZMEĐU REČI I TIŠINE: REČI MOJE VIKE

Abstract

Rad se bavi proučavanjem funkcije mitološkog fragmenta u romanu Reči moje vike kanadskog pisca Roberta Krouča. Pošavši od glavnih pretpostavki Frejzerove Zlatne grane da su mitovi i svi ritualni obredi nastali kao strah od vremena i da postoji sličnost između prirodnog i društvenog ciklusa, Krouč
Frejzerovu priču o kišodavcu stavlja u kontekst kanadske prerijske istorije. Iako je Frejzerov mit deo mitološke ritualističke škole, autor rada pokazuje kako piščev subverzivan stav prema tradicionalnom modernističkom shvatanju mita i ideja da mit treba decentralizovati, predstavlja začetak Kroučovog postmodernističkog shvatanja mita. Autor rada takođe dokazuje da, prepričavanjem, odnosno transformacijom priče, čije se značenje može naći u lokalnom i pojedinačnom, mogobrojni mitološki fragmenti postaju osnova Kroučove metapriče. Drugim rečima, izmeštanjem mitološkog fragmenta u kontekst kanadske stvarnosti, arhaični mitološki likovi i priče postaju deo žive mitologije u Alberti.
